Component 2 - Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

This component is central to the identity of the organisation because the activity profile records hygiene, sanitation, toilet support and public cleaning as core service areas. The component will improve household and community sanitation access, school sanitation, safe drinking water systems, water storage, hygiene behaviour, solid waste management, drainage and public cleanliness.

The project will not merely construct toilets or water points. It will combine hardware with behaviour change communication, user training, cleaning protocols, menstrual hygiene support, school hygiene clubs, household follow-up and maintenance mechanisms. The goal is durable usage, not only construction completion.

Drinking water and sanitation works shall be supported through technically appropriate designs and permissions. Water quality testing, safe disposal, user committee involvement and maintenance funds shall be integrated into the design wherever required.
